About Me

I am a 27-year-old Software Engineer from Panningen. Having started young, I already have over 10 years of experience in the field. I am analytically minded and like to look ahead. I studied mathematics to keep the option open for a Master's degree and to sharpen my abstract thinking skills. Whether designing scalable software architecture or optimizing inefficient processes, I don't stop at 'it works'—I want to understand the inner workings and structurally improve them. My approach to work is pragmatic and free of unnecessary bureaucracy. I am not one for writing massive reports; I prefer direct contact and efficient solutions. I firmly believe that you only truly master a subject if you can explain it clearly to someone else. This is reflected in my passion for mentoring; I have already successfully supervised two graduation internships. I am naturally calm and observant, but I prefer standing at your desk to brainstorm over having complex discussions via email. Sharing knowledge is essential to me for growing together as a team. Outside of my work behind the screen, I actively seek action and the outdoors. I practice Hapkido fanatically and volunteer weekly as a group leader at Jong Nederland, where I learn to guide groups and take responsibility. Additionally, I find both peace and challenge in nature by hiking in the mountains and photography. The physical effort required to reach the summit, clearing my mind, and then enjoying the view gives me the energy to get back to work with fresh focus.
